Following the shoreline, you’ll soon reach Portumna Bridge, a striking structure where Galway meets Tipperary. Yes. There is a Petrol Station with a shop/deli counter. The Ferry Inn is also located across the bridge and serves lunch daily. (Please check their website for opening times.)

It’s around 6 mins (1.9km). The route along the main road is not suitable for younger children. We recommend taking the Lough Derg Blueway from the Swimming Area.
